Texture, grain,

The process moves from rough shaping through controlled drying, staged sanding, inspection, and a hand-applied finish. Each surface keeps the evidence of the material and the hand that worked it.
Shape
The form is worked while the wood is still responsive, leaving enough material for the final carving and refinement.
Dry and refine
Controlled drying is followed by sanding in stages, with the surface judged by eye and corrected by hand.
Finish
Thin coats are worked into the wood to build a quiet matte surface while the underlying grain stays visible.

The collection is shaped and finished in Thailand. Natural variation is not hidden: grain, color, checking, and small tool marks make each piece singular while the flat surfaces remain functional.
A useful object can still carry the presence of sculpture. Choose the form first, then let the grain make it yours.
